MCCALL ROADTRIP! 1.15.16-1.17.16

One word: UNREAL. Actually two words, BEAUTIFUL TREES. Scratch that, I got a ton of words to say, but none of them will ever do justice as to how gorgeous McCall, Idaho is. On the real though, I could not stop taking pictures of the trees and the snow and everything. I felt like I was in heaven.
This weekend was seriously so sick. There really is nothing more satisfying than being out and away from the world. To disconnect from phones and internet and to connect with each other instead. There were many laughs and memories made within the couple days we spent there. From a cabin of strangers, to a cabin of homies!
I have come to realize that when I grow up, I need to own a cabin in the woods near a lake. It is so beautiful and it is the perfect getaway for the winter or the summer. I would love for my future family to spend our days in a cabin, playing in the snow or wake boarding on the lake. Whatever the weather, as long as my future family gets to experience the same joy I feel when I'm out away from the world. For sure a life goal! I want them to feel and recognize God's love by spending time outside and seeing His world.
A more important realization: The reason why I love being outside so much is because I can truly feel my Savior's love. I feel His love, through all the world around me. The fresh, crisp air, and the tall, never ending trees, and the cold, thick, snow. The feeling that I get when I look up at the trees, or when I watch the snow slowly fall as I sit on a window sill, is completely equivalent to the feeling that I get when I watch a sunset on the beach, or when I catch a wave in the ocean. I don't know how else to describe that feeling except for the fact that what I feel is complete joy and complete love, from a loving Heavenly Father. The snow, the trees, the wind, sunsets, sunrises, the birds, the ocean, the world around us. All things denote that there is a God. There is a God, and He does love each and every one of us. And there is no better feeling than that.
